Christine Webb

"A world within the frame." We helped redesign the online home of a contemporary Sydney painter — a quiet, gallery-grade platform where the paintings, prints and drawings lead and everything else keeps step.

Christine Webb website redesign: full-bleed hero of the painting Harbour Breeze above the headline 'A world within the frame'
The redesigned homepage — the featured painting fills the frame beneath the headline "A world within the frame."

The artist

A career worth showcasing.

Christine Webb is a contemporary figurative artist based in Sydney, working in acrylic on stretched canvas. Her still lifes build on the Australian tradition of painters like Margaret Preston — native flora, lived-in rooms, and the quiet drama of domestic space.

Her path is an uncommon one: trained at Sydney College of the Arts, then Art Director, Publisher and Editor of the indie monthly Stiletto through the 1980s, before relocating to Italy to work as a photographer and painter. Since 2011 she has divided her time between Sydney and her home in Umbria, exhibiting regular solo shows and teaching One Day Workshops in Colour Theory — with a solo exhibition at Art2Muse, Paddington, coming in 2027.

Inside the redesign

Built around the collector's next step.

The work fills the frame

A full-bleed homepage hero led by the current featured painting — Harbour Breeze, 153 × 96 cm — captioned with title and dimensions, so the first thing a visitor meets is the art itself.

A gallery that reads like a room

The collection is organised into paintings, prints and drawings, with every piece carrying its title, year and dimensions. Collectors can move through a coherent body of work, not a social feed.

A living artist platform

Exhibitions, teaching and biography sit alongside the works: an upcoming Art2Muse solo show in Paddington, One Day Workshops in Colour Theory, and a biography spanning Sydney College of the Arts, Stiletto Magazine and a decade split between Sydney and Umbria.
